Water-related diseases are a growing human tragedy, killing more than 5 million people each year - 10 times the number of people killed in wars. (Source People and the Planet World Water Assessment Programme)

uvwaste.gif (54683 bytes)The Mk.2 10EP Wastewater Treatment System leads the market in providing environmentally responsible, cost-effective wastewater treatment.  It utilises patented self-cleaning ultra violet technology to sterilise wastewater to levels that exceed current Australian standards.  The treated effluent is odourless and may be used to irrigate lawns and gardens.  It is a low maintenance system that requires annual servicing.

Standard domestic systems consist of the UV sterilisation unit, an in-ground treatment tank and a below ground sand filter.

Waterpac Australia has designed individual systems for commercial applications and welcomes inquiries from the commercial sector.  Waterpac Australia's wastewater treatment systems have Department of Local Government, Planning, Sport & Recreation Approval (DLGPSR Type Specification Approval No 514).

All domestic water treatment systems are available in solar 12/24 volt DC at an additional cost.

Key Benefits

  • Environmentally responsible waste management system - does not produce chemical by-products.
  • Produces treated wastewater to very high standards that allows for water re-use via irrigation*.  The new standards of treated effluent quality, set by Waterpac Australia surpass the rigid requirements of the World Health Organisation.
  • Low maintenance - annual services.
  • Nature Flow System uses minimal mechanical parts and therefore less power usage.
  • Noiseless operation.
  • The final effluent is clear and odourless.
  • The system can withstand prolonged periods of non-usage (such as holidays) without costly re-activating.
  • Media filtration occurs prior to UV treatment improving the clarity of the water to ensure successful water disinfection.
  • Pumps and control box are NOT hardwired.  This is an advantage when pumps require replacement as only one trade is required (plumber) rather than two (plumber and electrician).  The owner/builder is responsible for providing two double weatherproof powerpoints at the tank.

Price is subject to site assessment for effluent design, council approval, standard conditions and site inspection.  Commercial applications are site specific and require client consultation.

Most situations call for the standard installations however your site must be evaluated for a true indication before cost and requirements can be finalised.  Waterpac Australia will require the following information to provide a firm quotation or design: Effluent site and soil evaluation*, site access, scaled site plan with contours.

*Subject to local authority requirements.
