About 2.3 billion people suffer from diseases linked to dirty water. (Source People and the Planet World Water Assessment Programme)

Waterpac Australia's budget waste management system uses an in-line chlorinator to produce high quality treated effluent for recycling and irrigation directly to lawns and gardens, in accordance with local authority codes.  This system consists of an in-ground treatment tank, an in-line chlorinator and a below ground sand filter.

The in-line chlorinator provides a budget sterilisation method that limits the amount of chlorine that is released into the environment.  It uses a chlorine doser to ensure that the minimum amount of chlorine is released into the water to achieve an effective bacteria kill-rate.  The owner is responsible for checking the level of chlorine tablets in the doser on a quarterly basis and replenishing when required.

Chlorine tablets cost approximately $10 for a packet of 5 tablets.  One packet should last a household of 4-6 persons approximately 3 months. Due to their chemical nature chlorine tablets cannot be posted to you.  Most service agents carry the correct type of chlorine tablets on board.  Alternatively those customers living in the vicinity of Jimboomba can pick them up from our office.  (Note that these tablets are of a specific composition - please do not try and replace with any generic chlorine tablets without first checking their suitability with the manufacturer or your service agent.  Do not use liquid chlorine in place of chlorine tablets - this will not provide adequate disinfection.)

It is a low maintenance system that provides cost-effective wastewater treatment.

All domestic water treatment systems are available in solar 12/24 volt DC at an additional cost.

Key Benefits

  • Only one service per year.
  • Cost effective and low maintenance.
  • Produces high quality treated wastewater that can be used to irrigate gardens and lawns subject to local authority requirements.
  • Rated at 10EP (10 person system standard) but has the capacity for much greater loads.
  • Pumps and control box are NOT hardwired.  This is an advantage when pumps require replacement as only one trade is required (plumber) rather than two (plumber and electrician).  The owner/builder is responsible for providing two double weatherproof powerpoints at the tank.

Price is subject to site assessment for effluent design, council approval, standard conditions and site inspection.  Commercial applications are site specific and require client consultation.
