TOP FIVE REASONS OUR SYSTEM IS BETTER THAN THE REST

Ultra Violet treatment of water and wastewater is not a new concept – it has been around for years. Basically, water treatment occurs by radiating the liquid with the correct dose of UV light to kill bacteria and viruses. The UV lamp is placed inside a glass thimble that is located within a cylinder. The liquid passes through the cylinder and is irradiated by UV light thus effecting treatment. The problem with this type of water treatment has always been that the thimble gradually gets dirty and clouds the transmission of UV light thus decreasing the dose rate and therefore not maintaining effective treatment. We have overcome this with a non-mechanical, self-cleaning device.

Generally these systems, under normal domestic use, only require annual servicing unlike our opposition’s systems which require 2 to 4 services a year. Our opposition can’t match this due to the self-cleaning device.

This system achieves a greater than 99% kill rate – it is effective against bacteria and viruses and the latest research also supports its effectiveness against Giardia and Cryptosporidium (two diseases caused by organisms that are commonly found in drinking water both from tank supply and from government treated "mains water supply" both within Australia and overseas).

It goes a long way in protecting the environment and conserving a precious resource.
