Binna Burra Introduces Chemical-Free Water Treatment

BINNA Burra Mountain Lodge in the Gold Coast hinterland is harnessing the power of ultra-violet in order to eliminate the use of chemical additives in its water supply.

The Lodge sources its water from the highest reaches of the Coomera River and tests have shown it to be among the purist in Australia.  Despite these results, government regulations stipulate that incoming water for guest's use must be treated.

As part of the Lodge's on-going commitment to utilise the latest technology in reducing their environmental impact, Binna Burra has now installed a new Ultra Violet Disinfection system that destroys 99.99% of water-borne bacteria.

The Nature Flow Disinfection Unit, developed and patented worldwide by Jimboomba-based Waterpac Australia Pty Ltd, is installed in the Lodge's main water line.  Ultraviolet light generated within the self-cleaning unit disinfects water to the highest possible standard without the need for any further additives like chlorine.

The result is pure, crystal clear, sweet-tasting water, just the way nature intended.

According to Waterpac Australia Management, this environmentally-friendly system of water treatment is the way of the future.  It is already being used in food processing plants and manufacturing facilities, and will ultimately be a required household installation.
